Eve could practically sense him, just inside the door. Why had she chosen to come in the clean way rather than just slipped through? Honor? Dignity? ....Anger? And she couldn't believe Jean, of all people, was the one having a yell-fest with her about it. She knew that Faust, wherever he was, would hear it, so she didn't just knock Jean out and move on. How did none of them know who, what she was? Had she not shown enough of herself when she was there? That must have been it or they would have run from the way....or maybe made them get more in the way.
"Eve, you don't work here anymore, and I'm going to have to ask you to step off the property." "Curse your mother, you son of a whoring bitch, I have something important to tell him." "Don't you dare talk about my mother that way!" "Don't you dare get in my way!" "Someone escort Eve off the property!" Pause. "See? All your men wont even come near me. They know how dangerous a game it is." "Which is why you are not setting foot in that house!" "I HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SAY!" "THEN SAY IT TO ME, EVIE, SAY IT TO MY FACE AND STOP THIS!" "LET ME THROUGH OR I'M GOING TO DO SOMETHING WE'LL BOTH REGRET!" "NO!" "FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUST! I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME! ITS EVE! I HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SAY! FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUST!!!!"

Faust opened the door and looked at the scene before him. He sighed and looked at Jean. "Let her be Jean." He told him. "She's welcome here always unless I state so."
He looked at all the gaurds and sighed again. "Go back to your posts men, there's nothing to see here." He opened his door wide and beckoned Eve inside.
"Jean, you will go back to your post." He said specifically. He didn't want Jean to listen in or hang around. He felt that this was something important, and not just because Eve had been screaming it moments before.

Eve's chest heaved as she strode through the door. Her attire was all black, long sleeve shirt and black jeans hugging her body like a second skin. Her eyes glowed green, golden accents bright in the dim house light. Her hair was tied in a bun, the brown hair showing bits of gold in itself. The way she entered, all golden and emotion, was so unlike Eve she was surprised Faust did not say anything. It was the Eve she would have been, the one she should have been, had she not been raised as she was.
"Faust, you must believe what I say, and you must realize how important it is." No formality. No mark this, not equal that. "You're in danger, as am I." She looked around, looked at her surroundings. It had been what, two months since she set foot in the house? Over two weeks since she saw Faust himself? "Is there somewhere we can sit together to discuss this?" The only thing that could have possibly had hell freezing over more would have been if Eve asked to eat with Faust, which she was of a mind to.

Faust was slightly taken aback by the way she was acting, yet did not show it. He waved his hand to a small, two person table that was in the corner. He pulled out her chair with another wave of his hand and pulled out his own physically, sitting down in it. The entire time he was silent, contemplating what could be so important.
"What is it Eve?" He asked, finally breaking his silence. He clasped his fingers together and put them on the table's surface in front of him. His eyes went over her once, then twice, scanning her slightly.
He had not heard from Eve, nor seen her, for a number of days. He wondered if he would ever see her again, though lately he had been quite busy himself, too busy to go look for her. Besides, he knew better than to look for her.

Eve sat, leaning over the table to have her eyes meet Faust's unerringly, eerily. "We're on the list, Faust, I checked it and we're together on the list." She sighed, placed her head in her hands, muttering curses in a different language. After a moment, she looked back up. "Not just anyone took the call, either. SeMari took it, of all people."
Eve groaned, sitting back in her chair. "Its the first time I've looked at the list in a while, but I'm sure its new. SeMari never takes this long." She was clenching her fists, drawing half moons of blood, and she didn't even notice. "That traitor of a bitch. I should have known the second she saw my name she'd sign for it."

"Eve, please." He said, raising a hand quickly to stop her. "Slow down and start over. I need to know what everything is. What is the list? Who is this person you're talking about? What is the matter?"
He wasn't sure what was going on, though he did realize that his life was in danger. His stomach was twisting uncomfortably, a sure sign that he was in a life threatening situation. He put his hand down, now placed gently over his other hand on the table.
"Now, please, start over and speak slower."

Eve gave Faust the glare of a lifetime. "Slow? Fine. Slow. The version for slow people." She crossed her legs, then began speaking incredibly slowly. "The. List. Is. What. Assassins. Call. The. List. Of. People. Who. Someone. Will. Pay. Good. Money. To. Kill." She began to inspect her nails. "SeMari. Is. My. Childhood. Rival. Who. Hated. Me. Because. I. Was. The. Deadliest."
Unable to stand it any longer, Eve sprang up from her chair and began to pace. "She was the second best, is the second deadliest woman accounted for in the world. Faust, this is dangerous. Its like having me after myself. Being better might not help either of us this time, because this time we're the prey and she's the predator."

Faust nodded. "And what do you suggest we do?" He asked calmly. "Do we run or do we sit down and wait?" He sighed and poured himself a glass of wine to steady his nerves, placing the bottle on the table.
"If she is the second best then I guess I should be worried." He said quietly, taking a sip from his glass. "And I am." He confessed. "Terrified even." He took another sip of wine and looked at her.
"It's almost as if I feel she might succeed." He shook his head. "I don't know why, it's just a feeling." He finished his glass and set it on the table.

Eve stopped, turning towards Faust. "I do have a plan, but its going to sound crazy..." She didn't mention that it would also probably get her killed but keep him alive. Hey, no one said she was perfect, and Eve still wished for her own death...just not as vehemently as before.
She began pacing again and waved her hand dismissively. "You have to get rid of all your other guards, they'll only get themselves killed. SeMari has no honor, and she will annihalate everything in her path." Eve looked at the cieling as if considering what to say next. "You will, of course, be kept in a room without windows, and only one door until this is finished. I will guard you from the hallway, and it must be a long hallway with only one entrance at the very end. No air conditioning ducts, no possible entrances into the room."
Her feet collapsed under her so Eve sat on the ground, still viewing the cieling. Her legs crossed into a zen possition, showing just how jumpy she was. "When she comes, I'll be ready." And both our arrows will fire at the same time. Each will go for the heart. I know it, she suspects it, and it is as we always knew it would be.
((OOC: I'm seriously considering killing off my character, but I haven't decided as of yet. Either that or I'm going to have her be pregnant, give birth to the child, then die. *shrugs*))
