Faust was sitting outside his small house, a glass of wine in hand. It was a time for him to kick back and enjoy the evening, watching the fireflies dance about and read a book by touchlight.
His bandages were removed that morning, his entire being seeminly improved, as if each bandage held fear or anger. Now his wound was no more than a circular scar. The medics had told him that if it were to ever reopen that it was not a big deal and that merely a cloth over it would stop the bleeding quickly.
He had been sitting there for the hour, reading away and sipping his wine happily, content with everything around him.

Kalindria walked into the courtyard, the dancing fireflies race dabout and the tiny fairies buzzed around all sparkling with a plweasan light as she stoeed through the wlk way and headed for Fausts little retreat, or, that’s what she ah dcome to dub it. She stood, not more than a hundred tards from wher ehe sat, looking so content in his reading, as if he were lost in the pages he held before him. As she stood, the tiny faities swarmed about her hair, taking stands and lifting them here or there, and giggling all around her.
Kalindria didn’t mind this, it was their playful way of saying hello and she smiled as they continued to dance about her, every now and again, Kalindra would twirl with them, her golden locks fanning out, shining with fairies and the hem of her gown following suit. SHE had temporarily dismissed her love and his reading, to play with the tiny creatures for a few moments, sometimes, brining her hands to her ear, as if listening to what one might have to say and then holding her hands out, blowing on it, as the fairy took a ride in the warm wind she had created.

Faust looked up at the tiniest of giggles that came on the breeze. He saw Kalindria playing with the fairies, them dancing about her and she moving around with them. He smiled happily, letting her continue uninterupted as he went back to reading his book.
He glanced up and watched her graceful moves, every fluid movement bringing silent joy to him.

After a few moments longer, Kalindria approached Fgaust, her eyes shining with joy and a few laughs still lingering in her every move. She loved the fairies, as she love dnature and just about everything to do with it, and they knew it, tonight, seemed like such a good night, seeing him relaxing with a good book and glas of wine made her happy, her spirit raised and she now smiled down at him.
“Hi.” Was all she said, and ten waitred to hear his voice.

"Hello." He replied gently, looking up from his book. His eyes swept over her, taking in her beauty. "I see your back, my love." He smiled to her and shut his book, setting it on his lap.
"I saw you were having some fun with the fairies." He said, eyes shining bright. "I sometimes with the servant girls had as much exuberance. As it would seem, the fairies like to pester them and make more work for the staff."
He smiled again and stood up, embracing her gently, running his lips along her cheek.

Kalindria happily returned his kiss, and then smiled, as his lips traced along her cheek.
“Well, I can see where the serving girls would have difficulty with then, as t ounderstand what they are saying, one needs extraordinary hearing, something out of the human range, I would espect, but all they really want to do, is play.” She responded lightly, running a hand over his cheek in a most loving manner.
“So, it seems you are having a good night.” She then said, changing the subject from her to him.

"Yes I am, I got my bandages removed today." He said. He laughed gently as he rubbed his hands up and down her back.
Out from behind Kalindria he saw a young maid scowl at Kalindria, which was swiftly followed by her tearing back toward the castle persued by a number of fairies.
He grinned at his lover and held her close to his chest, his lips moving around her neck and shoulders. He had missed her an aweful lot since the last time he had seen her.

The young maid’s actions whent, innoriced, of course, or they would until she was once again in the company of the fairies. This was one of the many ways, Kalindria knew of a great many things the serving staff and such felt about her being with their Lord, though honestly, she didn’t take much of it to heart, what cared she of the ramblings of silly human females. Maybe just a little, she did want to be excepted, and had, after all, kept them all safe from her vampires, though they didn’t realize this as of yet, or perhaps never would.
“You did? Great.” SHe smiled, running a hand between herself and him, over his vlothed chest then wrapped her arms back about his torso and laid her head to the side, as he continued to run his lips over her shoulder and neck, letting a contented sigh escape from her lips.

Faust smiled as they stood their, embracing one another in the cool night air. He was certain that if they tried this a week ago he would be in pain because his wound would be still sensitive.
The only problem now was that he would never be left without the scar. He had very few scars, none of them truely noticable. Now he had a blaringly obvious scar on his chest.
He wondered how Kalindria would act the first time she saw it. He knew she had felt bad about him getting hurt in the first place but he hoped his kind words had helped her past that.

Kalindria smiled as he held her close to him, and she felt his strength becoming alive again. She listened to his heart as it beat in his chest, to the slow, relaxed ruthm of his breathing and she simply smiled.
“So, what you doig this evening?” She asked, as they continued to hold one another. “What book are you reading?” She asked another question, as he continued to run his hands over her back.

"Just an old book written by a mage, telling of his acts." He said easily. "Its a wonderful tale, though I am absolutely sure that he embellished the parts where he always gets the beautiful damsel in distress to fall in love with him." He grinned down at her, nearly laughing.
"All in all a good book." He finished simply.

She looked up at him as he looked dwon and grinned. “Indeed, all in a good book.” She repeated his own words and then turned her head up and kissed him lightly on the chin.
“Of course, some fairytales, I understand, do eventually come true.” She said, her voice soft.

"I was made a believer the moment I kissed you." He said romanticly. "I-"
But suddenly he stopped and blushed. Apparently the lord and his lover being romantic out in the courtyard would draw attention. He looked around and saw gaurds glancing at them, serving girls watching, and other servants looking at them, some even from open windows.
He suddenly felt very hot in the face, feeling as if everybody present would be able to feel the embarassed heat come off of him. He smiled nervously at what some people, wishing they'd look away.

Kalindria looked around, a small smile embracing her lips. “So let them look, let them know you too, are capeable of love.” She whispered in his ear, her hand moving up along his back, playing tentavly with the ends of his long locks.
Kalindria then looked aaround again, catching the eyes of many of the onlookers and smiled at each one in turn, as a few of them hastily backed away and into the shadows, though she knew they still looked.
“I love you Faust, My lord, my King, my friend. If they can not deal with our love, and if it bothers you so, I will go.” She said in the most quiet of voices he had possibly ever heard come from her lips.

"Please don't go." He whispered in turn. "I love you with all my heart. Its the fact that they stare is what bothers me."
He knew he needed a large romantic gesture to prove himself. He loved Kalindria and he wanted to show her. "Here." He said simply as he leaned forward, pulled her close to him and set his lips firmly to his lover's.
There was a small collective intake of breath as he did this and he felt himself go red again, though he didn't take his lips from Kalindria's. The gasp only proved that they didn't think it possible for him to have a lover.
