Kalindria walked into the dark and deserted hall, she stepped lightly about the place, admiring its beauty and the echo her feet made on the hard dance floor. The place was entirely deserted, not a whisper of human activity, or other, so far as her acute senses could tell, this caused a smile to flicker over her lips in the moonlight coming in from the large window as she walked over towards it, her fingers now running lightly over the cool body of a Grand piano residing near the widow. She paused momentarily, her mind flashing scant memories of times long past, great balls, dancing and laughter filled her senses, she closed her eyes and began to sway slightly as if hearing music in her mind.
Her slow swaying began to expand, soon, she had shed her cloak to reveal a long gown that too, seemed to shimmer in the moonlight, her pale skin seeming silken smooth and perfect in every respect as well. Her feet now dance to the music in her mind, the music of the night. Soon, she was so involved in her devil’s dance that even should another happen by, she more than likely would not notice.
Her movements were graceful, light and near perfection, nay, each move was perfection, a smooth roll, a twist, she twirled and jumped, dancing the ballet of the night any who happened by would think they might just be able to hear the ghostly tune her mind played in its depths, for her to dance so enchantingly to.
As it happened, they would hear the music, playing its ghostly tune, for unknown to even her, that tune was so enchanting, it even enchanted the vampire queen to release her mind, giving the piano permission to play it as if an unseen pianist sat at the ivory, hypnotically playing the devil’s dance as Kalindria obediently continued to please his senses.
